What we do

The Chamber deals with appeals against decisions by Social Security Scotland about what the law calls assistance. We, and Social Security Scotland, refer to that as benefits.

The term Chamber, when used in our guidance and on this website, refers to the organisation itself, its administration and judiciary.  The Chamber's administration is carried out by staff of the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service ("The SCTS").
