Time limit for making an appeal application
An appeal should be submitted within 31 days of you being informed by Social Security Scotland of their determination and your right of appeal.
Submitting a late appeal
If you are submitting an appeal after the 31 days you will need to set out your reasons in your application why your appeal has not been made in time.
The Chamber can refuse to admit an appeal that has not been made within the 31 days.
No appeal can be made if more than 1 year has passed since you were informed by Social Security Scotland of the determination and your right of appeal.
